Summary

As an HCIC, young adults (18+) guide and inspire youth, gaining leadership skills, recognition, and international opportunities.

Detailed description

As an HCIC, volunteers step into a leadership journey.

In this role, they guide and inspire youth during workshops, creating spaces where young people feel safe, empowered, and encouraged to participate fully. HCICs serve as role models, helping youth unlock their potential while strengthening their own leadership and communication skills.

Training & Flexibility

New volunteers receive hands-on training and workshops to prepare for their role. Because our programs are offered in schools during the week and in open settings on weekends, volunteers can contribute in ways that fit their schedules. We ask for a 6–12 month commitment with at least 12 hours of volunteering, ensuring both continuity for the youth and meaningful growth for the volunteers.

Benefits of Being an HCIC

By volunteering with HCLF, young adults have the opportunity to:

  • Grow into leaders by developing self-awareness, communication, teamwork, and professional skills.
  • Explore the social and educational fields while gaining practical experience.
  • Access global opportunities through Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps exchanges.
  • Receive certificates, recognition, and appreciation for their contributions.
  • Build lasting connections with like-minded, heart-centered peers in a supportive community.
