Aruba Volunteers processes your personal data for the following purposes:

Automated decision making

Aruba Volunteers takes decisions based on automated processing about issues that may affect individuals. These are decisions that are made by computer programs or systems, without a human being (such as an employee of Aruba Volunteers) among them.


Aruba Volunteers uses the Deedmob system to match your profile with the requirements or conditions of charity activities and activities. If the profile features you enter correspond to the requirements or conditions of a specific Charity vacancy, then the Deedmob system can automatically alert you to this vacancy.


There are no consequences if you ignore or delete this email.


How long we keep personal data

Aruba Volunteers does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data are collected. We use the following retention periods for the following (categories) of personal data: 


We keep your profile data for as long as your profile is not closed, so that you can continue to use our services (and possibly those of third parties). 


If personal data must be stored for legal reasons, the legal retention period will be used.

Aruba Volunteers share your personal data with various third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement and to comply with a possible legal obligation. Below is explained what third parties are. 


We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Aruba Volunteers remains responsible for these processes.


With your Aruba Volunteers account you can not only log on to the website of Aruba Volunteers (arubavolunteers.org), but also on websites of DeedMob B.V. who use our system. This usually concerns websites of Volunteer Centers, but it can also be a website of, for example, the company where you work. If you log in to a website managed by Deedmob, we will share your account and profile information with this other organization from the first time you log in to this other website.


A social organization that places projects on a website managed by Deedmob can view your profile when you are a member of this organization or follow this organization, and possibly approach you by email with the request to work with this organization for a particular project.


By using your Facebook account to login, Facebook processes your login details and possibly other information. This is not the responsibility of Aruba Volunteers. We advise you to consult the information pages of Facebook for more information about the use of your Facebook account to log in to third parties.

Aruba Volunteers uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. To ensure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we request that you send a copy of your proof of identity with the request. Make this copy include your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen service number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
