Be someone's eyes in a photography course for visually impaired creatives
Detailed description
Plataforma Aruba is proud to present an inclusive photography program dedicated to people with visual impairments in Aruba. This program will give new opportunities to participants with visual impairments to explore photography using their sense of touch, sound and experience under the guidance of photographer Rafael Barragán.
In collaboration with FAVI the courses will start on September 10, 2025, on Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 to 12:00 AM.
We are looking for volunteers to help our participants:
You will serve as their eyes:
👁️ Guidance during the lessons
🚶♀️ Assist during field trips
👐 Guide and stimulate
🗓️ The lessons are 2 times a week, and they will last about 3 hours
🌿 Field trips will be occasional
📸 If you have an affinity with photography, it's a plus – but not necessary
