Be someone's eyes in a photography course for visually impaired creatives
Plataforma Aruba is proud to continue its inclusive photography program for people with visual impairments in Aruba.
Following the success of Module 1, in which 10 photographers completed their final work, we are now preparing Module 2, taking place April–June 2026.
This next module will focus on analog photography, allowing participants to explore image-making through touch, sound, process, and lived experience.
Under the guidance of photographer Rafael Barragán, and in collaboration with FAVI, participants will work with analog cameras and materials, emphasizing sensory awareness and hands-on creation.
We are looking for volunteers to support our participants
You will serve as their eyes and guide throughout the program:
👁️ Assist during lessons
🚶♀️ Support participants during field trips
👐 Help guide, describe, and stimulate creative exploration
🗓️ Lessons take place on Wednesdays and Fridays between 9AM - 11AM
🌿 Field trips will be occasional
📸 An affinity with photography is a plus, but not required
✨ Volunteering is possible based on your availability
