Summary

Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach introduces our newest program: "Invest In Me", where we teach kids about money and personal financial literacy, and need your help!

Detailed description

Having launched officially Oct. 5th, 2024, our "Invest In Me" program currently has 21 of the 37 Primary Schools on Aruba registered to participate in our first year!

We will go into the classes of 5th grades and have a 1.5 hour session presenting our curriculum, and having the children participate in activities to help them understand things like "Needs vs. Wants", what is an asset, a liability, why should I save and how do I create a budget?

Then after a break, the kids will come back to play a board game that helps to instill some of the foundational information provided in the earlier session.

The volunteer time is half a day, from approx 8am to 12:30-1pm, which also includes donating one of the board games to the school after completion of the sessions, and photo taking!

After you let us know you're interested on this website, we will share with you a link that will provide you more information and upon completion, you will receive an thank you email with an additional link to sign up for the days/locations you're available for. (there's even a "How To" video on how to sign up)

Upcoming trainings to learn the game and about the presentation will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 30 (only need to attend one), and during registration you can choose which one you'll attend.
