JCI is short for Junior Chamber International. On our islands (Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten), JCI is represented by the National Organization, JCI Dutch Caribbean, with its affiliated local organizations on several of our islands. In JCI, young people between the ages of 18 and 40 develop themselves into enterprising young leaders. The CYE is part of our mission to contribute to the development of young enterprising leaders in and outside of our organization.
The JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Program is a competition with the main objective to motivate and inspire enterprising young leaders. Starting in 2023, young people from in and outside our network will be able to submit their businesses with the opportunity of having them reviewed by delegated experts. The CYE Program, through sponsors and partners, will reward the winners of the competition for their efforts and also play an essential role in inspiring and promoting participants to create innovative new businesses, and therefore jobs.
JCI Dutch Caribbean is organizing the CYE on a national level for the first time this year. This year aims to have participants from all countries where JCI Dutch Caribbean is active in the program. This means participants from Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao & Sint Maarten. The development of young people is a very crucial component of what we do in JCI and JCI Dutch Caribbean in particular. In line with the above-mentioned philosophy, the CYE program will offer everyone a training day, the "Business Scale Seminar".
We need volunteers for the registration desk (to register participants), to attend our participants and trainers both in person as in virtual. Making sure the Zoom is working properly. Also, making sure they receive the lunch etc. You can gain an experience by being part of the organizing committee of an international event that took place in Aruba too. You can create lasting relationships and network with the participants and trainers and have the chance to attend the seminar for most part for free.
