Summary

At "Ban Caya" you will help set up the event, work with orgs, sport clubs, vendors, and the attendees (e.g. facilitate, provide info).

Detailed description

"Ban Caya" is a public event with the purpose to bring people together and get to know their neighborhood and neighbors better. The road in San Nicolas (the road in front of Joe Laveist Sports Park) will be closed where people can walk, bike or skate freely on the streets while visiting different info booths alongside the road where they can learn more of what activities and services are provided in their neighborhood. There will be also interactive activities, such as kids' corner, music performances, and sport demonstrations.


This Ban Caya will be themed "Kings' Day" because the activity is taking place on the King of the Netherlands' birthday.


At "Ban Caya: There are different volunteer opportunities for every person:

  • Guide organizations, sport clubs, and vendors to their designated locations.
  • Help organizations, sport clubs, and vendors set up their booths and provide them any support throughout the event.
  • Aid setting up common areas, such as sitting areas etc.
  • Help with the set up and clean-up of the event.
  • Provide information to attendees during the event.
  • Obtain feedback from the attendees.
