My Experience Volunteering in Aruba

On September 26, I joined a volunteer clean-up to help collect litter in Aruba. We were only a small group, but together we still managed to collect a surprising amount of waste.

I was honestly amazed by how much litter there was. What a mess! Of course, there is still a lot of work to be done, and one clean-up might feel like only a drop in the ocean, but it was still great to see how much of a difference a small group can make in a short time. For me, it felt very rewarding to contribute and support the cause.

I really enjoyed working together with the group and seeing the result of our efforts at the end. I am now back in the Netherlands, but I will be visiting Aruba regularly over the next few years. Whenever I am back in Aruba, I would definitely like to sign up and volunteer again.

I really enjoyed the experience and would happily do it more often!

Regards,

Hanny
